For all outdoor, coastal, or humid environments in Qatar (such as Lusail Marina, West Bay, or industrial plants), marine-grade AISI 316 / 316L is mandatory. SS 316 contains 2-3% molybdenum which protects against pitting corrosion caused by Qatar's high coastal salinity and airborne chlorides. SS 304 is strictly recommended only for indoor, climate-controlled interiors.
