Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) & Gas Processing
Execution Scope: Cryogenic process spool prefabrication, boil-off gas piping, and plant shutdown tie-in spools.
- Materials: ASTM A333 Gr. 6 (LTCS), ASTM A312 TP304L/316L, Super Duplex UNS S32750
- Pipe Sizes: NPS 1/2" to NPS 48" (Sch 10S to Sch 160)
- Governing Codes: ASME B31.3 Chapter IX, ASME Section IX, Shell DEP / QatarEnergy specs
- Fabrication: Dedicated clean-bay fabrication with argon backing purge (< 20 ppm O2) and orbital TIG welding.
- Testing & QA: 100% Volumetric NDT (RT/PAUT), Charpy impact testing at -196°C, helium leak testing.
Petrochemical Refining & Fertilizers
Execution Scope: High-temperature cracking furnace coils, sulfuric acid lines, and ammonia synthesis spools.
- Materials: ASTM A335 P11 / P22 Chrome-Moly, SS 904L, PTFE-Lined Carbon Steel
- Pipe Sizes: NPS 2" to NPS 36" (Heavy wall up to 35mm)
- Governing Codes: ASME B31.3 Category M, ASTM F1545
- Fabrication: Controlled multi-pass GTAW/SMAW welding with automated multi-zone PWHT chart recording.
- Testing & QA: 10kV spark testing on PTFE liners, Phased Array UT, hydrostatic testing at 1.5x design pressure.
Seawater Desalination (SWRO)
Execution Scope: High-pressure reverse osmosis membrane feed headers, energy recovery loops, and brine outfall headers.
- Materials: Duplex 2205 (UNS S31803) & Super Duplex 2507 (UNS S32750) with PREN >= 42
- Pipe Sizes: NPS 1" to NPS 32" (Sch 40S, Sch 80S)
- Governing Codes: ASTM A790, ASME B31.3, NORSOK M-601
- Fabrication: Precision heat input control (0.5–1.2 kJ/mm) using ER2594 wire with argon-nitrogen backing purge.
- Testing & QA: Ferrite scope checks (35–65% ferrite), ASTM A923 Method C ferric chloride pitting test, hydrotest.
District Cooling Central Plants
Execution Scope: Primary chilled water evaporator headers, condenser water loops, and underground pre-insulated transmission mains.
- Materials: ASTM A53 Gr. B / API 5L Gr. B Carbon Steel with PUR foam insulation and HDPE outer casing
- Pipe Sizes: NPS 8" to NPS 56" (DN200 to DN1400)
- Governing Codes: QCS 2014 Section 21, EN 253, ASME B31.1
- Fabrication: Heavy header prefabrication with mechanized SAW welding; field casing shrink sleeve jointing.
- Testing & QA: 100% ultrasonic weld testing on underground joints, electronic leak detection wire continuity, hydrotest up to 25 bar.
Hygienic Dairy & Food Processing
Execution Scope: Sanitary milk reception manifolds, HTST pasteurizer interconnecting lines, and automated CIP loops.
- Materials: ASTM A270 TP316L Sanitary Stainless Steel (Internal polish Ra < 0.5µm)
- Pipe Sizes: NPS 1" to NPS 4" sanitary tube with tri-clamp connections
- Governing Codes: ASME BPE, 3-A Sanitary Standards, EHEDG
- Fabrication: Closed-chamber automated orbital TIG welding with 99.999% argon purge and zero dead legs.
- Testing & QA: 100% video borescope inspection of internal root beads, profilometer roughness profiling, passivation.
